Last week Good Food Revolution was lucky enough to snag an exclusive barrel tasting of the 2009 Pinot Noirs with Winemaker Deborah Paskus of Closson Chase, Prince Edward County.
These 2009 wines were still slumbering in barrel and, at this point, I can see it as a Prince Edward County Pinot Noir vintage that will be adored by those who have fallen in love with what County fruit brings to the glass.
Barrel tasting not only with Closson Chase, but with another four solid County producers, it was obvious that there was tremendous potential in the 2009 juice. Personally, I am incredibly excited by these wines and I am very much looking forward to see how they show once bottled.
Not only did we have the honour of a barrel tasting with Deborah, but she also gave us a little time in her cellar to speak about her history, her take on winemaking, and how that translates to Closson Chase.
